 TOPIC:   Advanced Market Analysis for Commercial Real Estate

This CCIM Ward Center course teaches market timing by showing where our economy is positioned in the current business cycle. You will then identify the indicators showing where the economy is headed next and how long it will take to get there.

Knowing the economic cycle will allow you to forecast future demand for property types in your specific market area. Using sophisticated market analysis tools, including STDBonline, we will explore markets, sub-markets, and sites to identify the best locations for specific types of properties.

This course is designed to improve your understanding of timing and location, and increase your success in today's market. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

§  Use supply and demand data to identify property sectors and geographic submarkets that offer the greatest commercial real estate investment opportunity – now and over the next 2-3 years.
§  Conduct hands-on analyses of your market and submarket using STDBonline and the latest CCIM Market Analysis software tools.
§  Identify the greatest areas for growth—office, retail, industrial and multifamily sectors—in your market.

You will also go home with a complimentary copy of a custom Excel spreadsheet you can use for future analyses.

Working in commercial real estate since 1982, Mark Cypert is the President of Encore Office LLC.  Encore is a diversified commercial real estate firm based in Dallas, TX with hospitality, retail, multi-family, and office property holdings throughout the United States. Mr. Cypert's responsibilities with Encore include overseeing the Office Division, raising institutional equity capital and managing the company's investment research and underwriting programs.  During his career, Mr. Cypert has participated in over 15 million square feet of office, industrial and retail investment and development ventures with a total market capitalization of over $1.8 billion. Prior to joining Encore, Mr. Cypert served as Managing Director and Principal of Cawley Partners where he was responsible for overseeing the firm's commercial real estate investment funds; his team acquired and managed in excess of 1.3 million square feet of value-add office and flex properties in multiple markets across the U.S. with a total market capitalization of $146 million.  Mr. Cypert is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in Construction Engineering Technology and is a Senior Instructor for the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute.
